Turin Hub has been selected by the WEF to lead a Circular Innovation initiative

Turin Hub will implement a pilot project of the Scale360° Circular Innovation programme developed by the World Economic Forum

We are delighted to share that Turin Hub will implement a pilot project of the Scale360° Circular Innovation programme developed by the World Economic Forum. We are among four Hubs (together with Shapers from Mexico City, Brussels, and Bangkok) selected from a competitive pool of 40+ applications.

Within the pilot project, we will design, organise, and deliver interventions that support circular economy solutions tailored to local needs, following a unique design thinking methodology offered by the programme. In the process, we will be happy to connect with experts and leaders from the Platform for Accelerating Circular Economy (PACE), the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and other WEF’s networks.

The pilot launch marks a potential turning point for circular change. “We’re at an inflection point in today’s very linear take-make-dispose economy,” said Jamie Butterworth, Circularity Capital Partner and Scale360° board member. “The Forum’s Scale360° hubs will play an important role in further fostering collaborative innovation and accelerating the transition towards a more restorative, circular economy.”

Turin’s successful application was submitted by Margherita Barbieri who will co-lead the effort together with Simona Grande. The other core team members are Anass Hanafi, Antonio Ferrara, Olga Osuchowska and Paolo Bevolo. Our first two tasks include the formation of an Advisory Board and the mapping of local Stakeholders who might be interested and/or in need of circular economy solutions.
