Last Saturday Turin Hub has delivered the highly anticipated ShapeIT Summit, the 2020 edition of the annual national conference bringing together Shapers from all Global Shapers Hubs based in Italy. This year it was held under the theme BORN THIS WAY focused on the Global Goals for Sustainable Development related to Equity & Inclusion.

The COVID-19 pandemic has upended the event’s format: for the first time ever, it was held online. It was partly streamed live from the spectacular Nuvola, the HQ of the event’s main Sponsor, Lavazza Group. “…”, said Alessandra Bianco, the Corporate Communication Director at Lavazza Group.

Our regional Community Champion Ilaria Capocci presented the recent progress and plans for the future for the cross-hub project Heroes Never Sleep.

Juan Bonini, Alumnus of the Asunción Hub who is currently staying in Genoa, talked about projects Poverty Stoplight, Apolitical and Dialoghi Generativi.

The afternoon session was opened by the keynote speech by a Member of Young Global Leaders
Cristina Pozzi, Founder and CEO of Impactscool.

The summit was crowned with a panel chaired by Anass Hanafi on Equity & Inclusion with:

The meeting was closed with a session facilitated by Enrico Gentina from TEDx Torino dedicated to communication in the area of Equity & Inclusion.

ShapeIT 2020 was organised under the leadership of Turin Hub’s Outgoing Curator Fabio Cassanelli and chaired by the Curator Luigi Riccardo.
